Intermediate/Senior Process Engineer – Calgary

Rangeland Engineering is looking for Intermediate Process Engineers with a professional and innovative mindset on providing services from conceptual design and cost benefit analysis to operations de-bottlenecking, FEED and detailed process engineering.

You will:

• Support lead process engineer to ensure successful completion of projects, from conception to commissioning, such as:
  • Oil & Gas treating and handling facilities from wellhead to delivery;
  • Gas sweetening and dehydration processes;
  • NGL recovery, fractionation, treating and transportation;
  • Hydrocarbon treating process;
  • Hydrogen, biodiesel, biogas, CO2 sequestrations; and
  • Conceptual design and evaluation of new process options.
• Development of key design documents (Heat & Material Balance, PFD, P&ID and Process Calculations);
• Helping cost benefit analysis for small to medium sized projects in collaboration with other disciplines; and
• Interface with other internal departments, project managers, engineers, clients and vendors during all phases of projects to ensure strong working relationships.

You have:

• P.Eng. registration with APEGA or equivalent.
• Chemical Engineering or related Engineering degree.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate with junior process personnel.
• Having skills using HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer, AFT Fathom/Arrow and VMGSim;
• Experience in the design of small to medium size projects.
• Familiarity with design of processing equipment and oil field processes such as treaters, steam generators, heat exchangers, water treatment, energy optimization, and multiphase pipelines;
• Knowledge of safety design, and principles of process controls;
• Good understanding of work processes within all sized projects;
